We are looking for:
Cook,Kitchen Staff
Tue-Sat 11:00-14:00 Lunch or 17:00-21:00 Dinner
(Flexible shift)
Pay: CA$19.00-CA$22.00 per hour
Job description:
-Prep for home made dressing,sauces,soup stock
-Knife skills needed
-Butcharing meats, chopping vegetables
-Undertake prep cooking duties to the highest quality.
-Measuring and preparing the ingredients and seasonings to be used in the cooking of dishes
-Keep track of inventory
-Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
-Managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.
Proven experience as a cook:
experience in a Japanese restaurant is an asset
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Able to self-manage when needed
Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
A team player with good communication skills
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
Very good physical condition and endurance
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
