PAWfect Spa is located in the St. Clair and Bathurst area. Currently, we are recruiting a Pet Grooming Assistant / Pet Stylist position.
Job Description
(Grooming Assistant)
• Assist Pet Stylists to groom pets (pet assistant)
• Brush / de-mat, bath (shampoo/conditioning) and blow dry pets
• Complete and file grooming log records for each pet groomed
• Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety to our standards
(Pet Stylist)
• Perform basic grooming services includes brushing/de-matting, shampoo/conditioning and blow drying of animals
• Perform full grooming service to all natural dogs including shedless treatment and scissoring work based on breed standards
• Perform full grooming service to selected dogs that require standard puppy or Asian Fusion trims – inclusive of clipping and scissoring work
Education
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred
Requirements
• Must have animal working experience
• Have basic English reading and verbal skills
• Have good organizational skills and attention to details
• Have good socially oriented and enjoy working with people, along with a compassion to animals
• Able to do multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously
• Pleasant personality capable of working in a team oriented environment
• Have good hygiene and appropriate dress
• Have no medical or physical conditions that would prevent the successful completion of position duties
• Available to work on Tues and Saturday is a must.
