Currently, we are recruiting a Professional Pet Stylist position with Asian Pet Styling experience.
Job Description
• Perform full grooming and pet styling services to all breeds of dogs including hand scissoring work based on breed standards as per International recognized associations (eg. AKC, CKC…etc)
o Hand-scissoring work
o Hand stripping on wiry coat
o Bathing/nail clips/hair demat/brushing / blow drying
o Must have self-owned scissors (curved, straight, thinning shears…etc)
• Complete and file grooming log records for each pet groomed
• Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety to our standards
• Interact with customers to ensure our salon exceeds their expectations
• Explain our grooming services, standard procedures and pet trim styles to our clients
Education
• Diploma from recognized pet styling / grooming schools
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of pet grooming / hand scissoring experience as pet stylist
• Must have fusion pet style grooming experience in teddy bear trims or cartoon character styles
• Experience in grooming Poodles, Bichons, Cocker Spaniels, Westies and Scotties based on their breed standards is an asset
• Respect and appreciation for pets and their owners
• Understand basic English in verbal and written communication
• Have good organizational skills and attention to details
• Socially oriented and enjoy working with people, along with a compassion to animals
• Able to do multiple ongoing tasks simultaneously
• Pleasant personality capable of working in a team-oriented environment
