Hi! We're seeking a long-term, permanent barista position at our fast-paced coffee shop in one of our stores in downtown Toronto, near King Station or Union Station. The barista position is available Monday to Friday, full weekday shifts. Shift rotations will provide at least 30 hours of work per week depending on how well you do on training. As a barista, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and working efficiently by yourself or within team. Your daily tasks will include as a cashier, making drinks, serving customers, and cleaning up by the end of your shift. Always greet customers and staff with a big smile. You should also work well under pressure, quickly, efficiently, be responsible, and keep your workspace clean.
* You'll be expected to open the cafe for the opening shift around 6-6:30 a.m. or close it at the end of the day around 6-6:30 p.m (depending on the shift that you get) and maintain the cafe's stock and cleanliness. You'll also perform special tasks as assigned, clean equipment, counters, and sanitize work areas, and ensure all checklists are completed.
* No prior experience is required as training will be given, but previous work experience in a customer service environment or as a baker is a plus. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks is also highly valued.
* We don't do latte art. We have our own unique style art.
Salary is minimum Ontario wage+tips (Not a cash job).
