Language Across Continents (LAC), authorized by LBPSB, isoffering an international summer camp and is seekinga bilingual Japanese-English interpreter and supervisor to assist visiting students and teachers from Japan.• Greet and assist the Japanese delegation upon arrival at the airport.
• Accompany students on off-site trips (museums, cultural landmarks, local events), providing interpretation services where needed.
• Ensure clear communication in both formal and informal settings
• Be proactive as a liaison between Japanese guests, local staff and administration.
• Ensure smooth communication and help address any issues or concerns.
• Help bridge cultural differences and prevent or resolve miscommunications
• Maintain basic supervision duties.
• Be flexible and adapt to the evolving needs of the summer camp program.
• Value and respect students, colleagues and administration.
