About Aroma Canada
Aroma Espresso Bar Canada is a rapidly growing franchise, operating 30+ cafes across Ontario. We are focused on making great coffee and serving fresh, nutritious, Mediterranean-inspired food, made to order. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Back of House (BOH) team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Staff/Line Cook, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including the efficient and accurate execution of our menu items and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.
Food Preparation & Cooking:
Prepare fresh food dishes according to Aroma's standardized recipes and quality standards.
Execute orders from multiple stations: salad line, sandwich line, flat grill, and hot soup stations.
Regularly prepare items such as from-scratch dressings, fresh-cooked grains, chopped herbs, and diced produce for daily kitchen prep.
Make sandwiches, salads, and grill food in the kitchen.
Operations & Safety:
Strictly adhere to all company, municipal, and provincial food safety standards and protocols.
Continuously maintain the cleanliness of the prep area and kitchen equipment, including sanitizing surfaces between tasks.
Receive supplier deliveries, verify items against invoices, restock kitchen lines, and manage safe food item rotation (FIFO).
Assist with inventory and order placement.
Teamwork:
Communicate effectively with other team members in both the Front and Back of House.
Willingness to perform many different tasks within the café, as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
A positive attitude and ability to work respectfully and efficiently with other team members.
Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred: Experience working in a kitchen with a general understanding of cooking fundamentals and practices.
