Job Description
We’re looking for a reliable Café Assistant to support our barista team with day-to-day operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and is comfortable doing a bit of everything. Barista experience is welcome but not required—you’ll mainly help with food prep, restocking, and general café duties, with opportunities to learn more over time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and heat breakfast sandwiches and other simple food items
- Restock lids, cups, baked goods, and other supplies
- Prep coffee for brewing (grinding, batch brew setup)
- Keep the café clean and organized
- Take customer orders and assist the barista team as needed
- Help with opening shifts when scheduled
Requirements
- Previous café or customer service experience an asset
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Available for early morning shifts and weekends when needed
Schedule
- Morning shifts (6 hours)
- Monday–Thursday; occasional weekend shifts
