トロント高校留学中の息子にマンション（コント）を購入したいですが、息子（16歳）の名義で購入することが可能ですか？

親は日本在住って事ですか？親と共同名義ならあるのかなとも思うけど、未成年の子供だけじゃどうかな？不動産屋に聞けば？ここじゃ分からないでしょ。

自分で買って遺書の相続人を子供にすればいいだけでしょう。
税金対策で子供名義で買うならやめたほうがいいよ。
かなりの確率でつかまる。しかも日本だけじゃなくてカナダでも。

I assume parents(guardians) died intestate and they don't have other dependents or any other issues of inheritance, the child will inherit the part of guardians holding and become the "sole owner" to that property. However, in order to inherit, a new guardian should be appointed, alternatively, the property will be under control by court. It means the child doesn't technically "own" it until 18 anyway. （just my personal understanding..）
